by Kahunapule Michael Paul Johnson
"Kahuna" is Hawaiian for "expert" or "priest."
"Pule" is Hawaiian for "prayer."
"Kahunapule" means "prayer expert" or "pastor." It is also a much less common name than "Michael" or "Paul." I use it as a nickname and/or a title (in lieu of "Reverend") sometimes to avoid being confused with other people who share my name. This name was given to me in prayer. To me, this name is a faith confession and a statement of my total reliance on God and my need for communication with Him.
