1 The LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron and said, 2 “Speak to the Israelites and tell them, ‘When any man has a discharge from his body, his discharge is unclean. 3 This is his uncleanness because of his discharge: whether his body lets the discharge flow or is blocked by it, this is his uncleanness. 4 Every bed on which the man with a discharge lies shall be unclean, and every article on which he sits shall be unclean. 5 Whoever touches his bed must wash his clothes, bathe in water, and be unclean until evening. 6 Whoever sits on an article on which the man with a discharge has sat must wash his clothes, bathe in water, and be unclean until evening. 7 Whoever touches the body of the man with a discharge must wash his clothes, bathe in water, and be unclean until evening. 8 If the man with a discharge spits on someone who is clean, that person must wash his clothes, bathe in water, and be unclean until evening. 9 Every saddle on which the man with a discharge rides shall be unclean. 10 Whoever touches anything that was under him shall be unclean until evening. Whoever carries those things must wash his clothes, bathe in water, and be unclean until evening. 11 If the man with a discharge has not rinsed his hands in water, anyone he touches must wash his clothes, bathe in water, and be unclean until evening. 12 An earthenware vessel that the man with a discharge touches must be broken, and every wooden utensil must be rinsed in water. 13 When the man with a discharge is cleansed of his discharge, he must count seven days for his cleansing, wash his clothes, and bathe his body in spring water; then he shall be clean. 14 On the eighth day he must take two turtledoves or two young pigeons, come before the LORD at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, and give them to the priest. 15 The priest shall offer them, one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering. The priest shall make atonement for him before the LORD because of his discharge.
16 When a man has an emission of semen, he must bathe his whole body in water and be unclean until evening. 17 Every garment and every skin on which there is semen must be washed in water and shall be unclean until evening.
18 When a man lies with a woman and has an emission of semen, both must bathe in water and be unclean until evening. 19 When a woman has a discharge and the discharge from her body is blood, she shall remain in her menstrual impurity for seven days. Whoever touches her shall be unclean until evening. 20 Anything on which she lies during her menstrual impurity shall be unclean, and anything on which she sits shall be unclean. 21 Whoever touches her bed must wash his clothes, bathe in water, and be unclean until evening. 22 Whoever touches any article on which she has sat must wash his clothes, bathe in water, and be unclean until evening. 23 If anything is on the bed or on the article she is sitting on, whoever touches it shall be unclean until evening. 24 If a man lies with her and her menstrual impurity comes upon him, he shall be unclean for seven days, and every bed on which he lies shall be unclean.
25 If a woman has a discharge of blood for many days outside the time of her menstruation, or if her discharge continues beyond her menstruation, she shall be unclean throughout the days of her unclean discharge, as during the days of her menstruation. 26 Every bed on which she lies throughout the days of her discharge shall be to her like the bed of her menstruation, and every article on which she sits shall be unclean, like the uncleanness of her menstruation. 27 Whoever touches those things shall be unclean. He must wash his clothes, bathe in water, and be unclean until evening. 28 When she is cleansed of her discharge, she must count seven days; afterward she shall be clean. 29 On the eighth day she must take two turtledoves or two young pigeons and bring them to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. 30 The priest shall offer one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering. The priest shall make atonement for her before the LORD because of her unclean discharge.’ 31 You must keep the Israelites separate from their uncleanness, so that they do not die in their uncleanness by defiling my tabernacle, which is among them. 32 This is the law for the man with a discharge, for the man who becomes unclean through an emission of semen, 33 for the woman in her menstrual impurity, for anyone with a discharge, male or female, and for the man who lies with an unclean woman.”
