1 The LORD spoke to Moses and said, 2 “Speak to the Israelites and tell them, ‘These are the LORD's appointed times, which you must proclaim as holy assemblies; these are my appointed times. 3 Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy assembly. You must do no work. It is a Sabbath to the LORD wherever you live.
4 These are the LORD's appointed times, the holy assemblies you must proclaim at their appointed times: 5 On the fourteenth day of the first month, at twilight, is the LORD's Passover. 6 On the fifteenth day of that month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the LORD. You must eat unleavened bread for seven days. 7 On the first day you shall have a holy assembly; you must do no ordinary work. 8 For seven days you must present an offering by fire to the LORD. On the seventh day there shall be a holy assembly; you must do no ordinary work.’ ”
9 The LORD spoke to Moses and said, 10 “Speak to the Israelites and tell them, ‘When you enter the land I am giving you and reap its harvest, you must bring the priest a sheaf from the first of your harvest. 11 He shall wave the sheaf before the LORD so that it may be accepted on your behalf. The priest shall wave it on the day after the Sabbath. 12 On the day you wave the sheaf, you must offer a year-old male lamb without blemish as a burnt offering to the LORD. 13 Its grain offering shall be two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour, about four quarts, mixed with oil, an offering by fire to the LORD, a pleasing aroma. Its drink offering shall be a quarter of a hin of wine, about one quart. 14 You must not eat bread, roasted grain, or fresh grain until that very day, until you have brought the offering of your God. This is a lasting statute throughout your generations, wherever you live.
15 From the day after the Sabbath, from the day you bring the sheaf of the wave offering, you must count seven complete Sabbaths. 16 You must count fifty days, up to the day after the seventh Sabbath. Then you must present a new grain offering to the LORD. 17 From your dwellings you must bring two loaves for a wave offering. They must be made from two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour, about four quarts, and baked with leaven, as firstfruits to the LORD. 18 With the bread you must present seven year-old male lambs without blemish, one young bull, and two rams. They shall be a burnt offering to the LORD, with their grain offering and their drink offerings, an offering by fire, a pleasing aroma to the LORD. 19 You must offer one male goat as a sin offering and two year-old male lambs as a peace offering. 20 The priest shall wave them—the two lambs—together with the bread of the firstfruits as a wave offering before the LORD. They shall be holy to the LORD for the priest. 21 On that very day you must proclaim a holy assembly for yourselves. You must do no ordinary work. This is a lasting statute wherever you live throughout your generations. 22 When you reap the harvest of your land, you must not reap your field to its very edge when harvesting or gather the gleanings of your harvest. You must leave them for the poor and the foreigner. I am the LORD your God.’ ”
23 The LORD spoke to Moses and said, 24 “Tell the Israelites, ‘On the first day of the seventh month you shall have a solemn rest, a memorial with trumpet blasts, a holy assembly. 25 You must do no ordinary work, and you must present an offering by fire to the LORD.’ ”
26 The LORD spoke to Moses and said, 27 “Now the tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. You shall have a holy assembly, humble yourselves, and present an offering by fire to the LORD. 28 You must do no work on that very day, for it is the Day of Atonement, to make atonement for you before the LORD your God. 29 Whoever does not humble himself on that very day shall be cut off from his people. 30 Whoever does any work on that very day, I will destroy that person from among his people. 31 You must do no work. This is a lasting statute throughout your generations, wherever you live. 32 It shall be a Sabbath of solemn rest for you, and you must humble yourselves. On the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening to evening, you must keep your Sabbath.”
33 The LORD spoke to Moses and said, 34 “Tell the Israelites, ‘On the fifteenth day of this seventh month is the Feast of Booths to the LORD for seven days. 35 On the first day there shall be a holy assembly; you must do no ordinary work. 36 For seven days you must present an offering by fire to the LORD. On the eighth day you shall have a holy assembly and present an offering by fire to the LORD. It is a solemn assembly; you must do no ordinary work. 37 These are the LORD's appointed times, which you must proclaim as holy assemblies to present an offering by fire to the LORD: burnt offerings, grain offerings, sacrifices, and drink offerings, each on its proper day, 38 in addition to the LORD's Sabbaths, in addition to your gifts, in addition to all your vows, and in addition to all your freewill offerings that you give to the LORD. 39 Now on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered the land's produce, you must celebrate the LORD's feast for seven days. The first day shall be a solemn rest, and the eighth day shall be a solemn rest. 40 On the first day you must take fruit from beautiful trees, palm branches, branches of leafy trees, and willows by the stream, and rejoice before the LORD your God for seven days. 41 You must celebrate it as a feast to the LORD for seven days each year. This is a lasting statute throughout your generations; you must celebrate it in the seventh month. 42 You must live in booths for seven days. All native-born Israelites must live in booths, 43 so that your generations may know that I made the Israelites live in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt. I am the LORD your God.’ ” 44 Moses declared the LORD's appointed times to the Israelites.
