60
1 God, you have rejected us and broken through our ranks;
you have been angry.
Restore us!
2 You have made the earth quake and split it open;
heal its breaches, for it totters.
3 You have made your people see hard things;
you have given us wine that makes us stagger.
4 You have given a banner to those who fear you, to be raised because of truth. Selah.
5 So that your beloved may be delivered, save with your right hand and answer me.
6 God has spoken in his holiness: “I will exult;
I will divide Shechem and measure out the Valley of Succoth.
7 Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine;
Ephraim is the helmet of my head;
Judah is my scepter.
8 Moab is my washbasin;
upon Edom I will cast my sandal.
Philistia, shout because of me!”
9 Who will lead me to the fortified city?
Who will guide me as far as Edom?
10 Is it not you, God, who have rejected us?
You no longer go out with our armies, God.
11 Give us help against the foe, for human rescue is futile.
12 With God we will do mighty deeds;
he will trample our foes.
