1 God is known in Judah;
his name is great in Israel.
2 His shelter is in Salem, and his dwelling place in Zion.
3 There he shattered the flaming arrows of the bow, the shield, the sword, and the weapons of war. Selah.
4 You are radiant, majestic beyond the mountains of prey.
5 The stouthearted have been plundered;
they have sunk into sleep.
None of the mighty warriors could use their hands.
6 At your rebuke, God of Jacob, both chariot and horse fell into deep sleep.
7 You, you are to be feared!
Who can stand before you once your anger is aroused?
8 From heaven you made judgment heard;
the earth feared and was still,
9 when God rose to judge, to save all the humble of the earth. Selah.
10 Surely human wrath will praise you;
with the remainder of wrath you will gird yourself.
11 Make vows to the LORD your God and fulfill them;
let all who surround him bring gifts to the One who is to be feared.
12 He cuts off the spirit of rulers;
he is feared by the kings of the earth.
