Leviticus.
Chapter 6.
The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
“If anyone sins and acts unfaithfully against the LORD by deceiving his neighbor about something entrusted to him, a pledge, or something taken by robbery, or by extorting his neighbor,
or finds something lost and denies it, swearing falsely about any of these things by which a person may sin,
when he sins and becomes guilty, he shall restore what he took by robbery, what he obtained by extortion, what was entrusted to him, or the lost thing he found,
or anything about which he swore falsely. He shall repay it in full and add a fifth to it. He shall give it to its owner on the day he brings his guilt offering.
He shall bring his reparation to the LORD, a ram without blemish from the flock according to your valuation, to the priest as a guilt offering.
The priest shall make atonement for him before the LORD, and he shall be forgiven for any of the things he may have done and incurred guilt by.”
The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
“Command Aaron and his sons, saying: ‘This is the law of the burnt offering: the burnt offering shall remain on the hearth on the altar all night until morning, and the fire of the altar shall be kept burning on it.
The priest shall put on his linen garment and put linen undergarments over his flesh. He shall take up the ashes from the burnt offering that the fire has consumed on the altar and put them beside the altar.
He shall take off his garments, put on other garments, and carry the ashes outside the camp to a clean place.
The fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it; it shall not go out. The priest shall burn wood on it morning after morning, arrange the burnt offering on it, and turn the fat of the peace offerings into smoke on it.
Fire shall be kept burning continually on the altar; it shall not go out.
This is the law of the grain offering: Aaron’s sons shall present it before the LORD, in front of the altar.
He shall take from it his handful of the fine flour of the grain offering and its oil, with all the frankincense on the grain offering, and turn it into smoke on the altar, a pleasing aroma, its memorial portion to the LORD.
Aaron and his sons shall eat what is left of it. It shall be eaten unleavened in a holy place; they shall eat it in the courtyard of the Tent of Meeting.
It shall not be baked with leaven. I have given it as their portion from my offerings by fire. It is most holy, like the sin offering and the guilt offering.
Every male among Aaron’s sons may eat it, a perpetual due throughout your generations from the offerings by fire to the LORD. Whatever touches them shall be holy.’”
The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
“This is the offering of Aaron and his sons that they shall present to the LORD on the day he is anointed: a tenth of an ephah of fine flour, about two quarts, as a continual grain offering, half in the morning and half in the evening.
It shall be prepared with oil on a griddle. You shall bring it well mixed; you shall present the grain offering in baked pieces as a pleasing aroma to the LORD.
The priest from among his sons who is anointed in his place shall prepare it. It is a perpetual due to the LORD; it shall be turned entirely into smoke.
Every grain offering of a priest shall be turned entirely into smoke; it shall not be eaten.”
The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
“Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying: ‘This is the law of the sin offering: in the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered, the sin offering shall be slaughtered before the LORD. It is most holy.
The priest who offers it for sin shall eat it. It shall be eaten in a holy place, in the courtyard of the Tent of Meeting.
Whatever touches its flesh shall be holy. If any of its blood splashes on a garment, you shall wash what has been splashed in a holy place.
The earthenware vessel in which it is boiled shall be broken. If it is boiled in a bronze vessel, the vessel shall be scoured and rinsed with water.
Every male among the priests may eat it. It is most holy.
But no sin offering whose blood is brought into the Tent of Meeting to make atonement in the sanctuary shall be eaten; it shall be burned with fire.
