Leviticus.
Chapter 7.
This is the law of the guilt offering. It is most holy.
In the place where they slaughter the burnt offering, they shall slaughter the guilt offering, and he shall dash its blood against all sides of the altar.
He shall present all its fat from it: the fat tail and the fat that covers the entrails,
the two kidneys and the fat on them by the flanks, and the lobe of the liver, which he shall remove with the kidneys.
The priest shall turn them into smoke on the altar, an offering by fire to the LORD. It is a guilt offering.
Every male among the priests may eat it. It shall be eaten in a holy place. It is most holy.
As with the sin offering, so with the guilt offering: there is one law for them. It shall belong to the priest who makes atonement with it.
The priest who presents anyone’s burnt offering shall have the skin of the burnt offering he has presented; it shall belong to that priest.
Every grain offering baked in an oven and every offering prepared in a pan or on a griddle shall belong to the priest who presents it.
Every grain offering, mixed with oil or dry, shall belong to all Aaron’s sons, each as much as his brother.
This is the law of the peace offering that one presents to the LORD.
If he presents it for thanksgiving, he shall present with the thanksgiving sacrifice unleavened cakes mixed with oil, unleavened wafers spread with oil, and cakes of well-mixed fine flour mixed with oil.
With cakes of leavened bread he shall present his offering, along with his thanksgiving peace offering.
From it he shall present one of each kind of offering as a contribution to the LORD. It shall belong to the priest who dashes the blood of the peace offerings.
The flesh of his thanksgiving peace offering shall be eaten on the day he presents it; he shall not leave any of it until morning.
But if the sacrifice he offers is for a vow or is a freewill offering, it shall be eaten on the day he presents his sacrifice, and what is left of it may also be eaten the next day.
What is left of the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day shall be burned with fire.
If any of the flesh of his peace offering is eaten on the third day, it shall not be accepted, nor shall it be credited to the one who presents it. It shall be an abomination, and the person who eats any of it shall bear his iniquity.
Flesh that touches anything unclean shall not be eaten; it shall be burned with fire. As for the flesh, anyone clean may eat the flesh.
But the person who eats flesh from the peace offering that belongs to the LORD while his uncleanness is on him, that person shall be cut off from his people.
If anyone touches anything unclean, human uncleanness, an unclean animal, or any unclean detestable thing, and eats flesh from the peace offering that belongs to the LORD, that person shall be cut off from his people.’”
The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
“Speak to the Israelites, saying: ‘You shall not eat any fat of an ox, a sheep, or a goat.
The fat of an animal that dies of itself and the fat of an animal torn by beasts may be used for any work, but you shall certainly not eat it.
For whoever eats fat from an animal of which an offering by fire is presented to the LORD, the person who eats it shall be cut off from his people.
You shall not eat any blood, of birds or of animals, in any of your dwellings.
Any person who eats any blood, that person shall be cut off from his people.’”
The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
“Speak to the Israelites, saying: ‘The one who presents his peace offering to the LORD shall bring his offering to the LORD from his peace offering.
His own hands shall bring the offerings by fire to the LORD. He shall bring the fat with the breast, the breast to wave it as a wave offering before the LORD.
The priest shall turn the fat into smoke on the altar, and the breast shall belong to Aaron and his sons.
You shall give the right thigh to the priest as a raised offering from your peace offerings.
The one among Aaron’s sons who presents the blood of the peace offerings and the fat shall have the right thigh as his portion.
For I have taken the breast of the wave offering and the thigh of the raised offering from the Israelites, from their peace offerings, and given them to Aaron the priest and his sons as a perpetual due from the Israelites.
This is Aaron’s consecrated portion and his sons’ consecrated portion from the offerings by fire to the LORD, on the day he brought them near to serve the LORD as priests,
which the LORD commanded to be given to them by the Israelites on the day he anointed them, a perpetual statute throughout their generations.’”
This is the law for the burnt offering, the grain offering, the sin offering, the guilt offering, the ordination, and the peace offering,
which the LORD commanded Moses on Mount Sinai, on the day he commanded the Israelites to present their offerings to the LORD in the wilderness of Sinai.
