Psalm.
Chapter 6.
LORD, do not rebuke me in your anger or discipline me in your fury.
Be gracious to me, LORD, for I am wasting away; heal me, LORD, for my bones tremble.
My soul is deeply shaken. And you, LORD—how long?
Return, LORD, and deliver my soul; save me for the sake of your steadfast love.
For in death there is no remembrance of you; in Sheol, who will give you thanks?
I am worn out with groaning; every night I flood my bed and drench my couch with tears.
My eye wastes away with grief; it grows old because of all my foes.
Away from me, all who do evil, for the LORD has heard my weeping.
The LORD has heard my plea; the LORD will receive my prayer.
Let all my enemies be put to shame and deeply shaken; let them turn back in sudden shame.
