Psalm.
Chapter 14.
The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt; their deeds are detestable. No one does good.
The LORD looks down from heaven on humankind to see if anyone understands, if anyone seeks God.
All have turned aside; together they have become corrupt. No one does good, not even one.
Do all who do evil have no understanding? They devour my people as they eat bread, and they do not call on the LORD.
There they are filled with dread, for God is with the generation of the righteous.
You put the poor man’s plans to shame, but the LORD is his refuge.
Oh, that Israel’s salvation would come from Zion! When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people, Jacob will exult and Israel will rejoice.
