Psalm.
Chapter 66.
Shout for joy to God, all the earth!
Sing the glory of his name; make his praise glorious.
Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! Through your great strength your enemies feign submission to you.
All the earth will bow before you and sing praise to you; they will sing praise to your name.” Selah.
Come and see the works of God; awesome are his deeds toward humankind.
He turned the sea into dry land; they crossed the river on foot. There we rejoiced in him.
He rules by his might forever; his eyes watch the nations. Let the rebellious not exalt themselves. Selah.
Bless our God, you peoples; let the sound of his praise be heard,
who keeps our soul among the living and has not let our feet slip.
For you have tested us, God; you have refined us as silver is refined.
You brought us into the net; you laid a burden on our loins.
You let men ride over our heads; we went through fire and water, but you brought us out into abundance.
I will enter your house with burnt offerings and fulfill my vows to you,
the vows my lips uttered and my mouth spoke when I was in distress.
I will offer you burnt offerings of fattened animals, with the smoke of rams; I will sacrifice cattle with male goats. Selah.
Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will recount what he has done for my soul.
I called to him with my mouth, and praise was beneath my tongue.
If I had cherished evil in my heart, the Lord would not have heard.
But God has indeed heard; he has attended to my prayer.
Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer or his steadfast love from me!
