1 He made a bronze altar about thirty feet long, thirty feet wide, and fifteen feet high.
2 He made the cast-metal Sea, circular in shape, about fifteen feet from rim to rim and seven and a half feet high. A line about forty-five feet long encircled it. 3 Figures resembling oxen encircled it underneath, about six to a foot, all around the Sea. The oxen were in two rows, cast along with it. 4 It stood on twelve oxen: three facing north, three west, three south, and three east. The Sea rested on top of them, and all their hindquarters faced inward. 5 It was about three inches thick, and its rim was shaped like the rim of a cup, like a lily blossom. It could hold about sixteen thousand five hundred gallons.
6 He made ten basins and set five on the right and five on the left for washing. In them they rinsed what was prepared for the burnt offerings, while the Sea was for the priests to wash in.
7 He made ten gold lampstands according to their prescribed design and placed them in the temple, five on the right and five on the left.
8 He made ten tables and placed them in the temple, five on the right and five on the left. He also made a hundred gold bowls. 9 He made the court of the priests, the great court, and the doors for the court, and overlaid their doors with bronze. 10 He placed the Sea on the right side, toward the southeast. 11 Huram made the pots, shovels, and bowls. Hiram finished the work he was doing for King Solomon for the house of God:
12 the two pillars, the two bowl-shaped capitals on top of the pillars, and the two networks covering the two bowls of the capitals on top of the pillars; 13 and the four hundred pomegranates for the two networks, two rows of pomegranates for each network, to cover the two bowls of the capitals on the pillars. 14 He made the stands and the basins on the stands, 15 the one Sea and the twelve oxen beneath it. 16 The pots, shovels, forks, and all their utensils were made by Huram, his master craftsman, of polished bronze for King Solomon, for the house of the LORD. 17 The king cast them in the clay ground of the Jordan plain, between Succoth and Zeredathah. 18 Solomon made all these utensils in such great abundance that the weight of the bronze was not determined.
19 Solomon made all the furnishings for the house of God: the gold altar and the tables with the bread of the Presence on them; 20 the lampstands and their lamps of pure gold, to burn before the inner sanctuary as prescribed; 21 the flowers, lamps, and tongs of gold, the purest gold; 22 and the wick trimmers, bowls, ladles, and censers of pure gold. As for the entrance to the house, its inner doors to the Most Holy Place and the doors of the house leading to the main hall were of gold.
