1 Moses assembled the whole congregation of the Israelites and said to them, “These are the things the LORD has commanded you to do: 2 For six days work shall be done, but the seventh day shall be holy for you, a Sabbath of complete rest to the LORD. Whoever does any work on it shall be put to death. 3 You shall not kindle a fire in any of your dwellings on the Sabbath day.”
4 Moses said to the whole congregation of the Israelites, “This is what the LORD has commanded: 5 ‘Take from among yourselves an offering to the LORD. Let everyone whose heart is willing bring it as the LORD’s offering: gold, silver, and bronze; 6 blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, fine linen, and goats’ hair; 7 rams’ skins dyed red, fine leather, and acacia wood; 8 oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense; 9 onyx stones and stones for setting in the ephod and the breastpiece. 10 Let all who are wise in heart among you come and make everything the LORD has commanded: 11 the tabernacle, its tent and its covering, its clasps and its boards, its bars, its pillars, and its bases; 12 the ark and its poles, the mercy seat, and the screening veil; 13 the table and its poles, all its utensils, and the bread of the Presence; 14 the lampstand for the light, its utensils and its lamps, and the oil for the light; 15 the incense altar and its poles, the anointing oil, the fragrant incense, and the entrance screen for the entrance of the tabernacle; 16 the altar of burnt offering and its bronze grating, its poles and all its utensils, the basin and its stand; 17 the hangings of the courtyard, its pillars and its bases, and the screen for the courtyard gate; 18 the pegs of the tabernacle, the pegs of the courtyard, and their cords; 19 the woven garments for service in the sanctuary, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons for priestly service.’ ” 20 Then the whole congregation of the Israelites went out from Moses’ presence. 21 Everyone whose heart stirred him and everyone whose spirit made him willing came and brought the LORD’s offering for the work of the Tent of Meeting, for all its service, and for the holy garments. 22 Men came along with women, all whose hearts were willing, and brought brooches, earrings, finger rings, and other ornaments, every kind of gold article. Each brought gold as a wave offering to the LORD. 23 Everyone who had blue, purple, or scarlet yarn, fine linen, goats’ hair, rams’ skins dyed red, or fine leather brought them. 24 Everyone making an offering of silver or bronze brought the LORD’s offering, and everyone who had acacia wood for any work of the service brought it. 25 All the women who were wise in heart spun with their hands and brought what they had spun: blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and fine linen. 26 All the women whose hearts stirred them with skill spun the goats’ hair. 27 The leaders brought the onyx stones and the stones for setting in the ephod and the breastpiece, 28 and the spices and the oil for the light, for the anointing oil, and for the fragrant incense. 29 Every man and woman whose heart made them willing to bring something for all the work the LORD had commanded through Moses brought it. The Israelites brought a freewill offering to the LORD.
30 Moses said to the Israelites, “Look, the LORD has called by name Bezalel son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. 31 He has filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and skill in every kind of work, 32 to devise designs, to work in gold, silver, and bronze, 33 to cut stones for setting, and to carve wood, to work in every kind of craft. 34 He has put the ability to teach in the hearts of both him and Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan. 35 He has filled their hearts with wisdom to do every kind of work of a craftsman, designer, embroiderer in blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and fine linen, and weaver—workers in every craft and devisers of designs.
