1 This is what the Lord GOD says: “The east-facing gateway of the inner court shall be shut during the six working days, but it shall be opened on the Sabbath day and opened on the day of the new moon. 2 The prince shall enter from outside by way of the vestibule of the gateway and stand by the gatepost. The priests shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings. He shall bow down at the threshold of the gateway and go out, but the gateway shall not be shut until evening. 3 The people of the land shall bow down before the LORD at the entrance of that gateway on the Sabbaths and the new moons. 4 The burnt offering the prince presents to the LORD on the Sabbath day shall be six lambs without blemish and a ram without blemish. 5 The grain offering shall be about twenty dry quarts for the ram, and for the lambs a grain offering as a gift from his hand, with about a gallon of oil for each twenty dry quarts of grain. 6 On the day of the new moon there shall be a young bull from the herd without blemish, six lambs, and a ram; they shall be without blemish. 7 He shall prepare a grain offering of about twenty dry quarts for the bull and twenty dry quarts for the ram, and for the lambs as much as his hand can provide, with about a gallon of oil for each twenty dry quarts of grain. 8 When the prince enters, he shall enter by way of the vestibule of the gateway and go out the same way. 9 When the people of the land come before the LORD at the appointed festivals, whoever enters through the north gateway to bow down shall go out through the south gateway, and whoever enters through the south gateway shall go out through the north gateway. He shall not return through the gateway by which he entered, but shall go out through the opposite one. 10 The prince shall be among them: when they enter, he shall enter, and when they go out, they shall go out. 11 At the festivals and appointed occasions, the grain offering shall be about twenty dry quarts for the bull and twenty dry quarts for the ram, and for the lambs a gift from his hand, with about a gallon of oil for each twenty dry quarts of grain.
12 When the prince prepares a freewill offering, a burnt offering or peace offerings as a freewill offering to the LORD, someone shall open the east-facing gateway for him. He shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings as he does on the Sabbath day. Then he shall go out, and someone shall shut the gateway after he has gone out. 13 You shall prepare a year-old lamb without blemish as a daily burnt offering to the LORD. Morning after morning you shall prepare it. 14 With it, morning after morning you shall prepare a grain offering of about three and a third dry quarts and about a third of a gallon of oil to moisten the fine flour. It is a grain offering to the LORD, a perpetual statute to be observed continually. 15 They shall prepare the lamb, the grain offering, and the oil morning after morning as a continual burnt offering.
16 This is what the Lord GOD says: If the prince gives a gift to one of his sons, it is his inheritance and shall belong to his sons. It shall be their possession by inheritance. 17 But if he gives a gift from his inheritance to one of his servants, it shall belong to him until the year of release and then return to the prince. His inheritance shall belong only to his sons. 18 The prince shall not take any of the people's inheritance, driving them out of their possession. He shall give his sons an inheritance from his own possession, so that none of my people will be scattered from his possession.” 19 Then he brought me through the entrance beside the gateway into the holy rooms of the priests, which faced north. There was a place at their far end toward the west.
20 He said to me, “This is the place where the priests shall boil the guilt offering and the sin offering and bake the grain offering, so that they do not bring them out into the outer court and so sanctify the people.” 21 Then he brought me out into the outer court and led me around the four corners of the court. There was a court in one corner and a court in another corner. 22 In the four corners of the court were enclosed courts about seventy feet long and fifty-two and a half feet wide. All four corner courts had the same measurements. 23 A ledge ran all around inside them, around all four, with cooking places built beneath the ledges all around. 24 He said to me, “These are the kitchens where the servants of the temple shall boil the people's sacrifices.”
