28
1 To you, LORD, I call;
my rock, do not turn a deaf ear to me.
If you remain silent toward me, I will become like those who go down to the pit.
2 Hear my pleading when I cry to you for help, when I lift my hands toward your holy inner sanctuary.
3 Do not drag me away with the wicked, with those who do evil, who speak peace to their neighbors while evil is in their hearts.
4 Give to them according to their deeds and the evil of their actions;
give to them according to the work of their hands.
Repay them what they deserve.
5 Because they pay no heed to the deeds of the LORD or the work of his hands, he will tear them down and not build them up.
6 Blessed be the LORD, for he has heard my pleading!
7 The LORD is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusted in him, and I was helped.
My heart exults, and with my song I thank him.
8 The LORD is their strength;
he is the saving stronghold of his anointed.
9 Save your people and bless your inheritance;
shepherd them and carry them forever.
