1 Incline your ear, LORD, and answer me, for I am afflicted and needy.
2 Preserve my life, for I am faithful to you.
You are my God;
save your servant who trusts in you.
3 Be gracious to me, Lord, for I cry to you all day long.
4 Gladden the soul of your servant, for to you, Lord, I lift up my soul.
5 For you, Lord, are good and forgiving, abundant in steadfast love to all who call on you.
6 Listen to my prayer, LORD, and attend to the voice of my pleas.
7 In the day of my distress I will call on you, for you will answer me.
8 There is none like you among the gods, Lord, nor are there any works like yours.
9 All the nations you have made will come and bow down before you, Lord, and glorify your name.
10 For you are great and do wonderful things;
you alone are God.
11 Teach me your way, LORD, and I will walk in your truth;
give me an undivided heart to fear your name.
12 I will give you thanks, Lord my God, with all my heart, and glorify your name forever.
13 For great is your steadfast love toward me;
you have rescued my soul from the depths of Sheol.
14 God, the arrogant have risen against me;
a band of ruthless men seeks my life, and they do not set you before them.
15 But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger and abundant in steadfast love and faithfulness.
16 Turn to me and be gracious to me;
give your strength to your servant, and save the son of your servant woman.
17 Show me a sign of your goodness, that those who hate me may see and be ashamed, because you, LORD, have helped and comforted me.
