Psalm 121 – The Lord Our Protector
A song of ascents.
1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains.
From where will help for me come?
2 My help will come from the Lord
the creator of heaven and earth.
3 Your foot he will not let stumble:
he who guards you will not sleep.
4 He who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord himself protects you,
is your shelter beside you.
6 The sun by day will not strike you,
nor the moon by night.
7 From all harm the Lord will guard you,
will watch over your life.
8 The Lord will guard your going and coming
from now and for evermore.
