The Scroll and the Lamb
1 Then I saw in the right hand of him who sits on the throne a scroll written on the inside and *outside 𝔐A,C,K 80.2% Β¦ on the back NA SBL TH TR WH 8.9%outside, sealed with seven seals. 2 And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming with a loud voice, β€œWho is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals?” 3 But no one in heaven †above 𝔐K [56%] Β¦ β€” 𝔐A,C ANT CT PCK RPmg TR [43.1%]above or on earth or under the earth could open the scroll or look into it. 4 So I began to weep loudly because no one was found who was worthy to ‑open 𝔐Aβˆ’,K [65.3%] Β¦ open and read 𝔐A+,C PCK TR [28.2%]open the scroll or look into it. 5 Then one of the elders said to me, β€œDo not weep; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has Β§conquered; he is the one who can 𝔐K 41.7% Β¦ conquered so as to 𝔐A,C ANT CT PCK RPmg TR 53.5%conquered; he is the one who can open the scroll *and 𝔐A,C,K [94%] Β¦ and break TR [4.6%]and its seven seals.”
6 Then I †saw 𝔐A,C,K [75.6%] β€’ MSS [11.5%] Β¦ looked, and behold, there was TR [9.7%]saw a Lamb that looked like it had been slain; he was standing among the elders in the midst of the throne and the four living creatures. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the ‑seven 𝔐A,C,K 72.8% β€’ TR 5.4% Β¦ β€” ECM† 10.1%seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. 7 He went and took the scroll out of the right hand of him who was sitting on the throne. 8 When he took the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each of them had a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are Β§the prayers of 𝔐K+ [32.1%] β€’ 𝔐A,C [50.9%] Β¦ praying for 𝔐Kβˆ’ [17%]the prayers of the saints. 9 And they sang a new song:
 
β€œWorthy are yoΚ‹ to take the scroll
and open its seals,
for yoΚ‹ were slain, and by yoΚ‹r blood yoΚ‹ redeemed *us for God out of 𝔐A,C,K 75.1% β€’ MSS 14% Β¦ us out of MSS 7% Β¦ for God people from NA SBL WH 0.4%us for God
out of every tribe, tongue, people, and nation.
10 YoΚ‹ have made †them 𝔐A,C,K [97.2%] Β¦ us TR [1.4%]them ‑kings 𝔐A,C,K 93.7% Β¦ to be a kingdom ECM† NA SBL TH WH 5.1%kings and priests to our God,
and Β§they will 𝔐A+,C,K+ 60.3% Β¦ they RPmg SBL WH 𝔐Aβˆ’,Kβˆ’ 35.8% Β¦ we will TR 3.1%they will reign on the earth.”
 
11 Then I looked, and I heard *something like 𝔐Aβˆ’,C,K [76.5%] Β¦ β€” 𝔐A+ ECM† NA SBL TH TR WH [23.5%]something like the voice of many angels coming from around the throne, the living creatures, and the †elders. Their number was myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, and they 𝔐A,C,K [97.2%] Β¦ elders. And thousands of thousands ST [0%] {Two manuscripts (0.9%) have a longer omission here, but no extant manuscripts read like ST.}elders. Their number was myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, 12 and they were saying with a loud voice,
 
β€œWorthy is the Lamb who was slain
to receive power and riches, wisdom and strength,
honor, glory, and blessing!”
 
13 Then I heard every creature in heaven, on earth, under the earth, in the sea, and all that is in them, saying,
 
β€œTo him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb,
be blessing and honor, glory and power, forever and ever! ‑Amen. 𝔐A,C,K 74.2% Β¦ β€” ANT CT TR 19.6%Amen.”
 
14 And Β§I heard the four living creatures 𝔐C,K [44.5%] Β¦ the four living creatures were 𝔐A ANT CT RPmg TR [41.3%]I heard the four living creatures saying, β€œAmen.” And the *elders 𝔐A,C,K [97.2%] Β¦ twenty-four elders TR [1.8%]elders fell down and †worshiped 𝔐A,C,K [97.3%] Β¦ worshiped him who lives forever and ever TR [1.4%]worshiped.
