God’s Final Word in His Son
1 God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways,
2 in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world.
3 And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
4 having become as much better than the angels, as He has inherited a more excellent name than they.
5 For to which of the angels did He ever say,
“Yoᴜ ᴀʀᴇ Mʏ Soɴ,
Toᴅᴀʏ I ʜᴀvᴇ ʙᴇɢoᴛᴛᴇɴ Yoᴜ”?
And again,
“I wɪʟʟ ʙᴇ ᴀ Fᴀᴛʜᴇʀ ᴛo Hɪᴍ
Aɴᴅ Hᴇ sʜᴀʟʟ ʙᴇ ᴀ Soɴ ᴛo Mᴇ”?
6 And when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says,
“Aɴᴅ ʟᴇᴛ ᴀʟʟ ᴛʜᴇ ᴀɴɢᴇʟs oꜰ Goᴅ woʀsʜɪᴘ Hɪᴍ.”
7 And of the angels He says,
“Wʜo ᴍᴀᴋᴇs Hɪs ᴀɴɢᴇʟs wɪɴᴅs,
Aɴᴅ Hɪs ᴍɪɴɪsᴛᴇʀs ᴀ ꜰʟᴀᴍᴇ oꜰ ꜰɪʀᴇ.”
8 But of the Son He says,
“Yoᴜʀ ᴛʜʀoɴᴇ, O Goᴅ, ɪs ꜰoʀᴇvᴇʀ ᴀɴᴅ ᴇvᴇʀ,
Aɴᴅ ᴛʜᴇ ʀɪɢʜᴛᴇoᴜs scᴇᴘᴛᴇʀ ɪs ᴛʜᴇ scᴇᴘᴛᴇʀ oꜰ Hɪs ᴋɪɴɢᴅoᴍ.
9 “Yoᴜ ʜᴀvᴇ ʟovᴇᴅ ʀɪɢʜᴛᴇoᴜsɴᴇss ᴀɴᴅ ʜᴀᴛᴇᴅ ʟᴀwʟᴇssɴᴇss;
Tʜᴇʀᴇꜰoʀᴇ Goᴅ, Yoᴜʀ Goᴅ, ʜᴀs ᴀɴoɪɴᴛᴇᴅ Yoᴜ
Wɪᴛʜ ᴛʜᴇ oɪʟ oꜰ ɢʟᴀᴅɴᴇss ᴀʙovᴇ Yoᴜʀ coᴍᴘᴀɴɪoɴs.”
10 And,
“Yoᴜ, Loʀᴅ, ɪɴ ᴛʜᴇ ʙᴇɢɪɴɴɪɴɢ ʟᴀɪᴅ ᴛʜᴇ ꜰoᴜɴᴅᴀᴛɪoɴ oꜰ ᴛʜᴇ ᴇᴀʀᴛʜ,
Aɴᴅ ᴛʜᴇ ʜᴇᴀvᴇɴs ᴀʀᴇ ᴛʜᴇ woʀᴋs oꜰ Yoᴜʀ ʜᴀɴᴅs;
11 Tʜᴇʏ wɪʟʟ ᴘᴇʀɪsʜ, ʙᴜᴛ Yoᴜ ʀᴇᴍᴀɪɴ;
Aɴᴅ ᴛʜᴇʏ ᴀʟʟ wɪʟʟ ʙᴇcoᴍᴇ oʟᴅ ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴀ ɢᴀʀᴍᴇɴᴛ,
12 Aɴᴅ ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴀ ᴍᴀɴᴛʟᴇ Yoᴜ wɪʟʟ ʀoʟʟ ᴛʜᴇᴍ ᴜᴘ;
Lɪᴋᴇ ᴀ ɢᴀʀᴍᴇɴᴛ ᴛʜᴇʏ wɪʟʟ ᴀʟso ʙᴇ cʜᴀɴɢᴇᴅ.
Bᴜᴛ Yoᴜ ᴀʀᴇ ᴛʜᴇ sᴀᴍᴇ,
Aɴᴅ Yoᴜʀ ʏᴇᴀʀs wɪʟʟ ɴoᴛ coᴍᴇ ᴛo ᴀɴ ᴇɴᴅ.”
13 But to which of the angels has He ever said,
“Sɪᴛ ᴀᴛ Mʏ ʀɪɢʜᴛ ʜᴀɴᴅ,
Uɴᴛɪʟ I ᴍᴀᴋᴇ Yoᴜʀ ᴇɴᴇᴍɪᴇs
A ꜰooᴛsᴛooʟ ꜰoʀ Yoᴜʀ ꜰᴇᴇᴛ”?
14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?
