The River of Life and the Tree of Life
1 Then the angel showed me a *pure 𝔐A,C PCK RP [52%] β€’ TR [2%] Β¦ β€” 𝔐K [44.5%]pure river of the water of life, as bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 In the middle of the city street, and on each side of the river, is the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, with each month yielding its own fruit. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. 3 β€ No longer will there be anything accursed 𝔐K [48%] Β¦ Nothing accursed will be there 𝔐A,C PCK [50.5%]No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. 4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5 β€‘There will be no night there 𝔐A,C [52.3%] Β¦ There will be no night 𝔐K HF [29.9%] Β¦ Night will be no more ANT CT [11.2%]There will be no night there, and Β§there will be no need for 𝔐K [33%] Β¦ people will not need 𝔐A,C ECM† PCK RP TR [53.8%] β€’ NA SBL TH WH [2.5%] β€’ ECM† [2.5%]there will be no need for *any lamp or light 𝔐K [33.3%] Β¦ any lamp or the light of the sun 𝔐A,C ANT PCK RP TR [34.3%] β€’ ECM† [8.6%] Β¦ the light of a lamp or the light of the sun ECM† NA TH [8.6%] β€’ SBL WH [2%]any lamp or light, for the Lord God will give them light, and they will reign forever and ever.
I Am Coming Quickly
6 Then the angel said to me, β€œThese words are trustworthy and true. The Lord, the God of the †spirits of the 𝔐C,K [62.3%] Β¦ holy 𝔐A TR [25.6%] Β¦ spirits of the holy MSS [7%]spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel ‑to show his servants 𝔐A,C [64.8%] β€’ MSS [5.5%] Β¦ β€” 𝔐K [22.6%]to show his servants what must soon take place.
7 β€œBehold, I am coming quickly. Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”
8 I, John, am the one who Β§heard and saw these things 𝔐C,K [54.8%] Β¦ saw and heard these things 𝔐A [35.5%] Β¦ saw these things and heard them TR [2.5%]heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me. 9 But he said to me, β€œDo not do that! *I 𝔐A,C,K [98%] Β¦ For I TR [2%]I am a fellow servant of yoΚ‹rs, and of yoΚ‹r brothers the prophets, †and of those 𝔐A+,K [61.9%] Β¦ β€” 𝔐A+,C PCK [38.1%]and of those who keep the words of this book. 10 Then he said to me, β€œDo not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near. 11 Let the evildoer still do evil, and the filthy still be filthy, and the righteous still ‑do right 𝔐A,C,K [82.7%] Β¦ be righteous TR [9.1%] Β¦ {omit and the righteous still do right} MSS [5.6%]do right, and the holy still be holy.”
12 β€œBehold, I am coming quickly, and my reward is with me, to repay each person according to their works. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, Β§the first and the last, the beginning and the end 𝔐K [48.5%] β€’ ANT [1%] Β¦ the beginning and the end, the first and the last 𝔐A,C PCK TR [40%]the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”
14 Blessed are those who *keep his commandments 𝔐A,C,K [88.3%] Β¦ wash their robes CT [6.6%]keep his commandments, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and may enter the city by its gates. 15 Outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, the fornicators, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.
16 β€œI, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and offspring of David, the bright morning star.”
17 The Spirit and the bride say, β€œCome.” Let anyone who hears say, β€œCome.” Let anyone who is thirsty come. And let anyone who wishes to do so take the water of life freely.
18 I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to them, †may God 𝔐C,K [50%] Β¦ God will 𝔐A ANT CT TR [40.7%]may God add to him the ‑plagues 𝔐K [54.4%] Β¦ seven plagues 𝔐A,C PCK [41.5%]plagues that are written in this book. 19 If anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, Β§may God 𝔐C,K [43.3%] β€’ MSS [7.7%] Β¦ God will 𝔐A ANT CT [44.3%] β€’ TR [1%]may God take away his share in the *tree 𝔐A,C,K [97.9%] Β¦ book TR [1%]tree of life and in the holy †city, which 𝔐A,C,K [98.5%] Β¦ city and in the things that TR [1%]city, which are written about in this book.
