1 Then Moses assembled all the congregation of the sons of Israel, and said to them, “AEx 34:32These are the things that the Loʀᴅ has commanded you to 1Lit do themdo:

2 “AEx 20:9, 10; 23:12; 31:15; 34:21; Lev 23:3; Deut 5:13fFor six days work may be done, but on the seventh day you shall have a holy day, BEx 16:23a sabbath of complete rest to the Loʀᴅ; CNum 15:32-36whoever does any work on it shall be put to death. 3  “AEx 12:16; 16:23You shall not kindle a fire in any of your dwellings on the sabbath day.”

4 Moses spoke to all the congregation of the sons of Israel, saying, “This is the thing which the Loʀᴅ has commanded, saying, 5 ‘AEx 25:1-9Take from among you a 1Or heave offeringcontribution to the Loʀᴅ; whoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it as the Loʀᴅ’s 1Or heave offeringcontribution: gold, silver, and 2Or copperbronze, 6 and 1Or violetblue, purple and scarlet material, fine linen, goats’ hair, 7 and rams’ skins 1Or tanneddyed red, and porpoise skins, and acacia wood, 8 and oil for lighting, and spices for the anointing oil, and for the fragrant incense, 9 and onyx stones and setting stones for the ephod and for the 1Or pouchbreastpiece.

10 ‘AEx 31:6Let every skillful man among you come, and make all that the Loʀᴅ has commanded: 11 the 1Lit dwelling placeAEx 26:1-30tabernacle, its tent and its covering, its hooks and its boards, its bars, its pillars, and its 2Or basessockets; 12 the AEx 25:10-22ark and its poles, the 1Lit propitiatorymercy seat, and the curtain of the screen; 13 the AEx 25:23-30table and its poles, and all its 1Or vesselsutensils, and the bread of the 2Lit FacePresence; 14 the AEx 25:31fflampstand also for the light and its utensils and its lamps and the oil for the light; 15 and the AEx 30:1-6altar of incense and its poles, and the BEx 30:25anointing oil and the CEx 30:34-38fragrant incense, and the screen for the doorway at the 1Or doorwayentrance of the tabernacle; 16 AEx 27:1-8the altar of burnt offering with its 1Or copperbronze grating, its poles, and all its 2Or vesselsutensils, the 3Or laverbasin and its stand; 17 AEx 27:9-18the hangings of the court, its pillars and its 1Or basessockets, and the screen for the gate of the court; 18 the pegs of the tabernacle and the pegs of the court and their cords; 19 the 1Or service garmentsAEx 31:10; 39:1woven garments for ministering in the holy place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest and the garments of his sons, to minister as priests.’ ”

20 Then all the congregation of the sons of Israel departed from Moses’ presence. 21 AEx 25:2; 35:5, 22, 26, 29; 36:2Everyone whose heart 1Lit lifted upstirred him and everyone whose spirit 2Or made him willingmoved him came and brought the Loʀᴅ’s 3Or heave offeringcontribution for the work of the tent of meeting and for all its service and for the holy garments. 22 Then all 1Or who were willing-heartedwhose hearts moved them, both men and women, came and brought brooches and 2Or nose ringsearrings and signet rings and bracelets, all articles of gold; so did every man who 3Lit waved a wave offeringpresented an offering of gold to the Loʀᴅ. 23 Every man, 1Lit with whom was foundwho had in his possession 2Or violetblue and purple and scarlet material and fine linen and goats’ hair and rams’ skins 3Or tanneddyed red and porpoise skins, brought them. 24 Everyone who could make a 1Or heave offeringcontribution of silver and 2Or copperbronze brought the Loʀᴅ’s 1Or heave offeringcontribution; and every man 3Lit with whom was foundwho had in his possession acacia wood for any work of the service brought it. 25 All the 1Lit women wise of heartskilled women spun with their hands, and brought what they had spun, in 2Or violetblue and purple and scarlet material and in fine linen. 26 All the women whose heart 1Lit lifted them up in wisdomstirred with a skill spun the goats’ hair. 27 The rulers brought the onyx stones and the stones for setting for the ephod and for the 1Or pouchbreastpiece; 28 and AEx 30:23ffthe spice and the oil for the light and for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense. 29 The 1Lit sons of IsraelIsraelites, all the men and women, whose heart 2Lit made them willingmoved them to bring material for all the work, which the Loʀᴅ had commanded through Moses to be done, brought a AEx 35:21; 1 Chr 29:9freewill offering to the Loʀᴅ.

30 AEx 31:1-6Then Moses said to the sons of Israel, “See, the Loʀᴅ has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. 31  “And He has filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding and in knowledge and in all 1Or workcraftsmanship; 32 1Lit devise devicesto make designs for working in gold and in silver and in 2Or copperbronze, 33 and in the cutting of stones for settings and in the carving of wood, so as to perform in every inventive work. 34  “He also has put in his heart to teach, both he and AEx 31:6Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan. 35  “AEx 31:3, 6; 35:31; 1 Kin 7:14He has filled them with 1Lit wisdom of heartskill to perform every work of an engraver and of a designer and of an embroiderer, in 2Or violetblue and in purple and in scarlet material, and in fine linen, and of a weaver, as performers of every work and makers of designs.
