1 AEx 35:30-36:1Now the Loʀᴅ spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “See, I have called by name Bezalel, the A1 Chr 2:20son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. 3  “I have AEx 35:31; 1 Kin 7:14; 1 Cor 12:4-8filled him with the Spirit of God in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all kinds of 1Or workmanshipcraftsmanship, 4 to 1Lit devise devicesmake artistic designs for work in gold, in silver, and in 2Or copperbronze, 5 and in the cutting of stones 1Lit to fill in (for a setting)for settings, and in the carving of wood, that he may work in all kinds of 2Or workmanshipcraftsmanship. 6  “And behold, I Myself have 1Lit givenappointed with him AEx 35:34Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and in the hearts of all who are 2Lit wise of heartskillful I have put 3Lit wisdomskill, that they may make all that I have commanded you: 7 AEx 36:8-38the tent of meeting, and BEx 37:1-5the ark of testimony, and CEx 37:6-9the 1Lit propitiatorymercy seat upon it, and all the furniture of the tent, 8 AEx 37:10-16the table also and its 1Or vesselsutensils, and the BEx 37:17-24; Lev 24:4pure gold lampstand with all its 1Or vesselsutensils, and CEx 37:25-29the altar of incense, 9 AEx 38:1-7the altar of burnt offering also with all its 1Or vesselsutensils, and BEx 38:8the laver and its stand, 10 the 1Or service garmentsAEx 39:1woven garments as well, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, with which to 2Lit minister as priestscarry on their priesthood; 11 AEx 30:23-32the anointing oil also, and the BEx 30:34-38fragrant incense for the holy place, they are to make them according to all that I have commanded you.”

12 The Loʀᴅ spoke to Moses, saying, 13 “But as for you, speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘AEx 20:8You shall surely observe My sabbaths; for this is BEx 31:17; Ezek 20:12, 20a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Loʀᴅ who sanctifies you. 14  ‘Therefore you are to observe the sabbath, for it is holy to you. AEx 31:15; 35:2; Num 15:32, 35; John 7:23Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people. 15  ‘AEx 20:9-11; 23:12; 34:21; 35:2; Lev 23:3; Deut 5:12-14For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there is a BGen 2:2f; Ex 16:23; 20:8; 35:2, 3sabbath of complete rest, holy to the Loʀᴅ; CEx 31:14whoever does any work on the sabbath day shall surely be put to death. 16  ‘So the sons of Israel shall observe the sabbath, to 1Lit docelebrate the sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.’ 17  “AEx 31:13; Ezek 20:12It is a sign between Me and the sons of Israel forever; BGen 1:31; 2:2, 3; Ex 20:11for in six days the Loʀᴅ made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day He ceased from labor, and was refreshed.”

18 When He had finished speaking with him upon Mount Sinai, He gave Moses AEx 24:12; 34:29; Deut 4:13; 5:22; 9:10fthe two tablets of the testimony, tablets of stone, BEx 32:15, 16; 34:1, 28; Deut 9:10written by the finger of God.
