Job Rebukes Bildad
1 Then Job 1Lit responded and saidresponded,
How you have saved the arm BPs 71:9without strength!
3 “What counsel you have given to one without wisdom!
What helpful insight you have abundantly 1Lit made knownprovided!
4 “To whom have you uttered words?
And whose 1Lit breath has gone forthspirit was expressed through you?
The Greatness of God
Under the waters and their inhabitants.
And 2I.e. place of destructionBJob 28:22; 31:12Abaddon has no covering.
7 “He AJob 9:8stretches out the north over empty space
And hangs the earth on nothing.
8 “He AJob 37:11; Prov 30:4wraps up the waters in His clouds,
And the cloud does not burst under them.
And spreads His cloud over it.
10 “He has inscribed a AJob 38:1-11; Prov 8:29circle on the surface of the waters
At the BJob 38:19, 20, 24boundary of light and darkness.
11 “The pillars of heaven tremble
And are amazed at His rebuke.
12 “He AIs 51:15; Jer 31:35quieted the sea with His power,
And by His BJob 12:13understanding He shattered CJob 9:13Rahab.
His hand has pierced BIs 27:1the fleeing serpent.
14 “Behold, these are the fringes of His ways;
And how faint AJob 4:12a word we hear of Him!
But His mighty BJob 36:29; 37:4, 5thunder, who can understand?”
