And the Almighty, BJob 9:18who has embittered my soul,
For as long as 1Lit breathlife is in me,
And the 2Or spiritAJob 32:8; 33:4breath of God is in my nostrils,

“May my enemy be as the wicked
And 1Lit he who rises up against memy opponent as the unjust.
“For what is AJob 8:13; 11:20the hope of the godless 1Or though he gainswhen he is cut off,
When God requires BJob 12:10his 2Lit soullife?
“Will God AJob 35:12, 13; Ps 18:41; Prov 1:28; Is 1:15; Jer 14:12; Mic 3:4hear his cry

16 “Though he piles up silver like dust
And prepares garments as plentiful as the clay,
17 He may prepare it, AJob 20:18-21but the just will wear it
And the innocent will divide the silver.
