Security of Those Who Trust in the Loʀᴅ, and Insecurity of the Wicked.
A Psalm of David.
1 AProv 23:17; 24:19Do not fret because of evildoers,
Be not BPs 73:3; Prov 3:31envious toward wrongdoers.
2 For they will AJob 14:2; Ps 90:6; 92:7; James 1:11wither quickly like the grass
And BPs 129:6fade like the green herb.
3 APs 62:8Trust in the Loʀᴅ and do good;

Because of the man who carries out wicked schemes.

Do not fret; it leads only to evildoing.

10 Yet AJob 24:24a little while and the wicked man will be no more;

11 But AMatt 5:5the humble will inherit the land
And will delight themselves in BPs 72:7abundant prosperity.
12 The wicked APs 31:13, 20plots against the righteous
And BPs 35:16gnashes at him with his teeth.
13 The Lord APs 2:4laughs at him,
For He sees B1 Sam 26:10; Job 18:20his day is coming.
14 The wicked have drawn the sword and APs 11:2; Lam 2:4bent their bow
To cast down the BPs 35:10; 86:1afflicted and the needy,
To CPs 11:2slay those who are upright in conduct.
15 Their sword will enter their own heart,
And their A1 Sam 2:4; Ps 46:9bows will be broken.
16 AProv 15:16; 16:8Better is the little of the righteous
Than the abundance of many wicked.
17 For the AJob 38:15; Ps 10:15; Ezek 30:21arms of the wicked will be broken,
But the Loʀᴅ BPs 71:6; 145:14sustains the righteous.
And their BPs 37:27, 29inheritance will be forever.
19 They will not be ashamed in the time of evil,
And AJob 5:20; Ps 33:19in the days of famine they will have abundance.
20 But the APs 73:27wicked will perish;
And the enemies of the Loʀᴅ will be like the 1I.e. flowersglory of the pastures,

21 The wicked borrows and does not pay back,
But the righteous APs 112:5, 9is gracious and gives.

And He will exalt you to inherit the land;
