The Righteous and the Wicked Contrasted.
1 How blessed is the man who AProv 4:14does not walk in the BPs 5:9, 10; 10:2-11; 36:1-4counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the 1Or wayCPs 17:4; 119:104path of sinners,
Nor DPs 26:4, 5; Jer 15:17sit in the seat of scoffers!
And in His law he meditates CPs 25:5day and DPs 63:5, 6night.
3 He will be like APs 92:12-14; Jer 17:8; Ezek 19:10a tree firmly planted by 1Or canalsstreams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season
And its 2Or foliageleaf does not wither;
And 3Or all that he does prospersin whatever he does, BGen 39:2, 3, 23; Ps 128:2he prospers.
4 The wicked are not so,
But they are like AJob 21:18; Ps 35:5; Is 17:13chaff which the wind drives away.
Nor sinners in CPs 89:5, 7the assembly of the righteous.
