A Prayer for the Overthrow of the Wicked.
Why APs 22:1do You stand afar off, O Loʀᴅ?
Why BPs 13:1; 55:1do You hide 1Or Your eyesYourself in times of trouble?
In APs 73:6, 8pride the wicked 1Lit burnhotly pursue the afflicted;
2Or They will be caughtLet them be BPs 7:16; 9:16caught in the plots which they have devised.
 
For the wicked APs 49:6; 94:3, 4boasts of his BPs 112:10heart’s desire,
And 1Or blesses the greedy manthe greedy man curses and CPs 10:13spurns the Loʀᴅ.
The wicked, in the haughtiness of his countenance, APs 10:13; 36:2does not seek Him.
All his 1Or plotsthoughts are, “BPs 14:1; 36:1There is no God.”
 
His ways 1Lit are strongAPs 52:7prosper at all times;
Your judgments are on high, BPs 28:5out of his sight;
As for all his adversaries, he snorts at them.
He says to himself, “APs 49:11; Eccl 8:11I will not be moved;

He has said to himself, “You will not require it.
