1 Woe to those who go down to AIs 30:2, 7; 36:6Egypt for help
And BDeut 17:16; Ps 20:7; 33:17; Is 2:7; 30:16rely on horses,
And trust in chariots because they are many
And in horsemen because they are very strong,
But they do not CIs 9:13; Dan 9:13; Amos 5:4-8look to the DIs 10:17; 43:15; Hos 11:9; Hab 1:12; 3:3Holy One of Israel, nor seek the Loʀᴅ!
And does CNum 23:19; Jer 44:29not retract His words,
But will arise against the house of DIs 1:4; 9:17; 14:20evildoers
And against the help of the EIs 22:14; 32:6workers of iniquity.
3 Now the Egyptians are AEzek 28:9; 2 Thess 2:4men and not God,
And their BIs 36:9horses are flesh and not spirit;
So the Loʀᴅ will CIs 9:17; Jer 15:6; Ezek 20:33, 34stretch out His hand,
And DIs 30:5, 7; Matt 15:14he who helps will stumble
And he who is helped will fall,
And all of them will come to an end together.
4 For thus says the Loʀᴅ to me,
“As the ANum 24:9; Hos 11:10; Amos 3:8lion or the young lion growls over his prey,
Against which a band of shepherds is called out,
And he will not be terrified at their voice nor disturbed at their noise,
So will the Loʀᴅ of hosts come down to wage BIs 42:13; Zech 12:8war on Mount Zion and on its hill.”
He will BIs 37:35; 38:6protect and deliver it;
He will pass over and rescue it.

9 “His ADeut 32:31, 37rock will pass away because of panic,
And his princes will be terrified at the BIs 5:26; 13:2; 18:3standard,”
