The Works and the Word of God.
For the choir director. A Psalm of David.
1 The APs 8:1; 50:6; Rom 1:19, 20heavens are telling of the glory of God;
And their BGen 1:6, 7expanse is declaring the work of His hands.
2 Day to APs 74:16day pours forth speech,
And BPs 139:12night to night reveals knowledge.
3 There is no speech, nor are there words;
Their voice is not heard.
And their utterances to the end of the world.
In them He has BPs 104:2placed a tent for the sun,
5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber;
It rejoices as a strong man to run his course.
And its circuit to the 2Lit the endsother end of them;
And there is nothing hidden from its heat.
The testimony of the Loʀᴅ is DPs 93:5sure, making EPs 119:98-100wise the simple.
9 The fear of the Loʀᴅ is clean, enduring forever;
The judgments of the Loʀᴅ are APs 119:142true; they are BPs 119:138righteous altogether.
10 They are more desirable than APs 119:72, 127gold, yes, than much fine gold;
BPs 119:103Sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb.
11 Moreover, by them APs 17:4Your servant is warned;
In keeping them there is great BPs 24:5, 6; Prov 29:18reward.
12 Who can APs 40:12; 139:6discern his errors? BPs 51:1, 2Acquit me of CPs 90:8; 139:23, 24hidden faults.
Let them not BPs 119:133rule over me;
Then I will be 1Lit completeCPs 18:32blameless,
And I shall be acquitted of DPs 25:11great transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth and APs 104:34the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O Loʀᴅ, BPs 18:2my rock and my CPs 31:5; Is 47:4Redeemer.
