For we also are C1 Cor 2:3; 2 Cor 13:9weak 1One early ms reads with Himin Him, yet DRom 6:8we will live with Him because of the power of God directed toward you.

5 AJohn 6:6Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; B1 Cor 11:28examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you 1Lit are unapprovedC1 Cor 9:27fail the test? 6 But I trust that you will realize that we ourselves 1Lit are not unapproveddo not fail the test. 7 Now we pray to God that you do no wrong; not that we ourselves may appear approved, but that you may do what is right, even though we may 1Lit be asappear unapproved. 8 For we can do nothing against the truth, but only for the truth. 9 For we rejoice when we ourselves are A2 Cor 12:10; 13:4weak but you are strong; this we also pray for, 1Lit your completionthat you be B1 Cor 1:10; 2 Cor 13:11; Eph 4:12; 1 Thess 3:10made complete. 10 For this reason I am writing these things while absent, so that when present A2 Cor 2:3I need not use BTitus 1:13severity, in accordance with the C1 Cor 5:4; 2 Cor 10:8authority which the Lord gave me for building up and not for tearing down.
