1 Then he AEzek 40:2, 3, 17brought me to the 1I.e. the main inner hallBEzek 41:21, 23nave and measured the CEzek 40:9; 41:3side pillars; six cubits wide on each side was the width of the 2Lit tentside pillar. 2 The width of the entrance was ten cubits and the 1Lit shoulderssides of the entrance were five cubits on each side. And he measured 2Lit its length,the length of the nave, A1 Kin 6:2, 17; 2 Chr 3:3forty cubits, and the width, A1 Kin 6:2, 17; 2 Chr 3:3twenty cubits. 3 Then he went 1I.e. of the inner sanctuaryAEzek 40:16inside and measured each BEzek 41:1side pillar of the doorway, two cubits, and the doorway, six cubits high; and the width of the doorway, seven cubits. 4 He measured its length, A1 Kin 6:20twenty cubits, and the width, twenty cubits, before the B1 Kin 6:5nave; and he said to me, “This is the CEx 26:33, 34; 1 Kin 6:16; 7:50; 8:6; 2 Chr 5:7; Heb 9:3-8most holy place.”

5 Then he measured the wall of the 1Lit house, and so throughout the chtemple, six cubits; and the width of the A1 Kin 6:5; Ezek 41:6-11side chambers, four cubits, all around about the house on every side. 6 A1 Kin 6:5-10The side chambers were in three stories, 1Lit chamber upon chamberone above another, and 2Lit thirty timesthirty in each story; and 3Lit they were comingthe side chambers B1 Kin 6:6, 10extended to the wall which stood on 4Lit the inside of the side chamberstheir inward side all around, that they might be fastened, and not be fastened into the wall of the temple itself. 7 The side chambers surrounding the temple were wider at each successive story. Because the A1 Kin 6:8structure surrounding the temple went upward by stages on all sides of the temple, therefore the width of the temple increased as it went higher; and thus one went up from the lowest story to the highest by way of the 1Lit middlesecond story. 8 I saw also that the house had a raised 1Lit heightplatform all around; the foundations of the side chambers were a full rod of AEzek 40:5six 2Or to the jointlong cubits in height. 9 The 1Lit widththickness of the outer wall of the side chambers was five cubits. But the AEzek 41:11free space between the side chambers belonging to the temple 10 and the outer AEzek 40:17chambers was twenty cubits in width all around the temple on every side. 11 The 1Lit doorwaydoorways of the 2Lit side chamberside chambers toward the AEzek 41:9free space consisted of one doorway toward the north and another doorway toward the south; and the width of the AEzek 41:9free space was five cubits all around.

12 The AEzek 41:13, 15; 42:1building that was in front of the BEzek 41:14; 42:10, 13separate area at the side toward the west was seventy cubits wide; and the wall of the building was five cubits 1Lit widethick all around, and its length was ninety cubits.

13 Then he measured the temple, a AEzek 40:47hundred cubits long; the BEzek 41:13-15; 42:1, 10, 13separate area with the CEzek 41:12building and its walls were also a AEzek 40:47hundred cubits long. 14 Also the width of the front of the temple and that of the separate 1Lit areaareas along the east side totaled a hundred cubits.

15 He measured the length of the AEzek 41:12, 13; 42:1building 1Lit toalong the front of the BEzek 41:14; 42:1, 10, 13separate area behind it, with a 2Or passagewayCEzek 41:16; 42:3, 5gallery on each side, a hundred cubits; he also measured the inner nave and the porches of the court. 16 The AIs 6:4; Ezek 10:18; 40:6; 41:25thresholds, the 1Or framedB1 Kin 6:4; Ezek 40:16, 25; 41:26latticed windows and the 2Or passagewaysCEzek 41:15galleries round about their DEzek 42:3three stories, opposite the threshold, were E1 Kin 6:15paneled with wood all around, and from the ground to the windows (but the windows were covered), 17 over the entrance, and to the inner house, and on the outside, and on all the wall all around inside and outside, by measurement. 18 It was 1Lit madecarved with A1 Kin 6:29, 32, 35; 7:36; Ezek 41:20, 25cherubim and B2 Chr 3:5; Ezek 40:16palm trees; and a palm tree was between cherub and cherub, and every cherub had two faces, 19 a AEzek 1:10; 10:14man’s face toward the palm tree on one side and a young AEzek 1:10; 10:14lion’s face toward the palm tree on the other side; they were 1Lit madecarved on all the house all around. 20 From the ground to above the entrance AEzek 41:18cherubim and AEzek 41:18palm trees were 1Lit madecarved, as well as on the wall of the nave.

21 The A1 Kin 6:33; Ezek 40:9, 14, 16; 41:1doorposts of the BEzek 41:1nave were square; as for the front of the sanctuary, the appearance of one doorpost was like that of the other. 22 The AEx 30:1-3; 1 Kin 6:20; Rev 8:3altar was of wood, three cubits high and its length two cubits; its corners, its 1Lit lengthbase and its 2Lit wallssides were of wood. And he said to me, “This is the BEx 25:23, 30; Lev 24:6; Ezek 23:41; 44:16; Mal 1:7, 12table that is before the Loʀᴅ.” 23 The AEzek 41:1nave and the BEzek 41:4sanctuary each had a double C1 Kin 6:31-35door. 24 Each of the doors had two leaves, two 1Or turningA1 Kin 6:34swinging leaves; two leaves for one door and two leaves for the other. 25 Also there were 1Lit madecarved on them, on the doors of the nave, AEzek 41:18cherubim and AEzek 41:18palm trees like those 1Lit madecarved on the walls; and there was a 2Or canopy of wood overBEzek 41:16threshold of wood on the front of the porch outside. 26 There were 1Or framedAEzek 41:16latticed windows and BEzek 40:16palm trees on one side and on the other, on the sides of the CEzek 40:9, 48porch; thus were the DEzek 41:5side chambers of the house and the 2Or canopiesthresholds.
