4 As I looked, behold, a AIs 21:1; Jer 23:19; Ezek 13:11, 13storm wind was coming from the north, a great cloud with fire flashing forth continually and a bright light around it, and in its midst something like BEzek 1:27; 8:2glowing metal in the midst of the fire. 5 Within it there were figures resembling AEzek 10:15, 17, 20; Rev 4:6-8four living beings. And this was their appearance: they had human BEzek 1:26form. 6 Each of them had AEzek 1:10; 10:14, 21four faces and BEzek 1:23four wings. 7 Their legs were straight and 1Lit the soles of their feettheir feet were like a calf’s hoof, and they gleamed like ADan 10:6; Rev 1:15burnished bronze. 8 Under their wings on their AEzek 1:17; 10:11four sides were human BEzek 10:8, 21hands. As for the faces and wings of the four of them, 9 their wings touched one another; their faces did AEzek 1:17not turn when they moved, each BEzek 1:12; 10:22went straight forward. 10 As for the ARev 4:7form of their faces, each had the BEzek 10:14face of a man; 1Lit the four of themall four had the face of a lion on the right and the face of a bull on the left, and 1Lit the four of themall four had the face of an eagle. 11 Such were their faces. 26 Now AEzek 1:22; 10:1above the expanse that was over their heads there was something BIs 6:1; Ezek 10:1; Dan 7:9resembling a throne, like 1Heb eben-sappirCEx 24:10; Is 54:11lapis lazuli in appearance; and on that which resembled a throne, high up, was a figure with the appearance of a DEzek 43:6, 7; Rev 1:13man. 27 Then I 1Lit sawnoticed from the appearance of His loins and upward something AEzek 1:4; 8:2like 2Or electrumglowing metal that looked like fire all around within it, and from the appearance of His loins and downward I saw something like fire; and there was a radiance around Him. 28 As the appearance of the AGen 9:13; Rev 4:3; 10:1rainbow 1Lit which occurs inin the clouds on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the surrounding radiance.
