Job: What Can I Say?
1 Then the Loʀᴅ said to Job,
2 “Will the faultfinder AJob 9:3; 10:2; 33:13; Is 45:9contend with the Almighty?
Let him who BJob 13:3; 23:4; 31:35reproves God answer it.”
3 Then Job answered the Loʀᴅ and said,
4 “Behold, I am insignificant; what can I reply to You?
I AJob 21:5; 29:9lay my hand on my mouth.
5 “Once I have spoken, and AJob 9:3, 15I will not answer;
Even twice, and I will add nothing more.”
God Questions Job
6 Then the AJob 38:1Loʀᴅ answered Job out of the storm and said,
7 “Now AJob 38:3gird up your loins like a man;
I will BJob 38:3; 42:4ask you, and you instruct Me.
8 “Will you really ARom 3:4annul My judgment?
Will you BJob 10:3, 7; 16:11; 19:6; 27:2condemn Me CJob 13:18; 27:6that you may be justified?
9 “Or do you have an arm like God,
And can you AJob 37:5; Ps 29:3thunder with a voice like His?
10 “APs 93:1; 104:1Adorn yourself with eminence and dignity,
And clothe yourself with honor and majesty.
11 “Pour out AIs 42:25; Nah 1:6, 8the overflowings of your anger,
And look on everyone who is BIs 2:12; Dan 4:37proud, and make him low.
And BIs 63:3tread down the wicked 1Lit under themwhere they stand.
13 “AIs 2:10-12Hide them in the dust together;
Bind 1Or their facesthem in the hidden place.
14 “Then I will also 1Or praise youconfess to you,
That your own right hand can save you.
God’s Power Shown in Creatures
He eats grass like an ox.
16 “Behold now, his strength in his loins
And his power in the muscles of his belly.
17 “He bends his tail like a cedar;
The sinews of his thighs are knit together.
18 “His bones are tubes of bronze;

In the covert of the reeds and the marsh.
