The Transfiguration

And He was transfigured before them; and His face shone like the sun, and His garments became as white as light. And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, AMark 9:5; Luke 9:33I will make three 1Or sacred tentstabernacles here, one for You, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold, AMark 1:11; Luke 3:22; 2 Pet 1:17fa voice out of the cloud said, “BIs 42:1; Matt 3:17; 12:18This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased; listen to Him!” When the disciples heard this, they fell 1Lit on their facesface down to the ground and were terrified. And Jesus came to them and touched them and said, “Get up, and AMatt 14:27do not be afraid.” And lifting up their eyes, they saw no one except Jesus Himself alone.

So also AMatt 8:20; 17:9, 22the Son of Man is going to suffer 2Lit by themat their hands.” 13 Then the disciples understood that He had spoken to them about John the Baptist.
The Demoniac

How long shall I put up with you? Bring him here to Me.” 18 And Jesus rebuked him, and the demon came out of him, and the boy was cured 1Lit from that hourat once.
19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not drive it out?” 20 And He *said to them, “Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, AMatt 21:21f; Mark 11:23f; Luke 17:6if you have faith 1Lit asthe size of BMatt 13:31; Luke 17:6a mustard seed, you will say to CMatt 17:9; 1 Cor 13:2this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and DMark 9:23; John 11:40nothing will be impossible to you. 21 [ “1Early mss do not contain this vAMark 9:29But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”]
