Damascus and Samaria Fall
Then the Loʀᴅ said to me, “Take for yourself a large tablet and AIs 30:8; Hab 2:2write on it 1Lit with the stylus of manin ordinary letters: 2Heb Maher-shalal-hash-bazBIs 8:3Swift is the booty, speedy is the prey.  “And 1Another reading is take for meI will take to Myself faithful witnesses for testimony, A2 Kin 16:10, 11, 15, 16Uriah the priest and Zechariah the son of Jeberechiah.” So I approached the prophetess, and she conceived and gave birth to a son. Then the Loʀᴅ said to me, “Name him 1I.e. swift is the booty, speedy is the preyAIs 8:1Maher-shalal-hash-baz; for AIs 7:16before the boy knows how to cry out ‘My father’ or ‘My mother,’ the wealth of BIs 7:8, 9Damascus and the spoil of Samaria will be carried away before the king of Assyria.”
Again the Loʀᴅ spoke to me further, saying,
“Inasmuch as these people have AIs 1:20; 5:24; 7:9; 30:12rejected the gently flowing waters of Shiloah
And rejoice in BIs 7:1Rezin and the son of Remaliah;
