1 “At that time the Loʀᴅ said to me, ‘AEx 34:1Cut out for yourself two tablets of stone like the former ones, and come up to Me on the mountain, and BEx 25:10make an ark of wood for yourself. 2  ‘ADeut 4:13I will write on the tablets the words that were on the former tablets which you shattered, and BEx 25:16you shall put them in the ark.’ 3  “So AEx 25:5; 37:1-9I made an ark of acacia wood and BEx 34:4cut out two tablets of stone like the former ones, and went up on the mountain with the two tablets in my hand. 4  “He wrote on the tablets, like the former writing, AEx 34:28; Deut 4:13the Ten 1Lit WordsCommandments BEx 20:1which the Loʀᴅ had spoken to you on the mountain from the midst of the fire CDeut 9:10; 18:16on the day of the assembly; and the Loʀᴅ gave them to me. 5  “Then I turned and AEx 34:29came down from the mountain and BEx 40:20put the tablets in the ark which I had made; C1 Kin 8:9and there they are, as the Loʀᴅ commanded me.”
