Comfort in Trouble from Recalling God’s Mighty Deeds.
For the choir director; A1 Chr 16:41according to Jeduthun. A Psalm of Asaph.
My voice rises to God, and I will APs 3:4; 142:1cry aloud;
My voice rises to God, and He will hear me.
In the APs 50:15; 86:7day of my trouble I sought the Lord;
BPs 63:6; Is 26:9In the night my CJob 11:13; Ps 88:9hand was stretched out 1Lit and did not grow numbwithout weariness;
My soul DGen 37:35refused to be comforted.
When I remember God, then I am APs 42:5, 11; 43:5disturbed;
When I BPs 55:2; 142:2sigh, then CPs 61:2; 143:4my spirit grows faint. 1Selah may mean: Pause, Crescendo or Musical interludeSelah.
You have held my eyelids open;
I am so troubled that I APs 39:9cannot speak.
I have considered the ADeut 32:7; Ps 44:1; 143:5; Is 51:9days of old,
The years of long ago.
I will remember my APs 42:8song in the night;
I BPs 4:4will meditate with my heart,
And my spirit 1Lit searchedponders:

Will the Lord APs 44:9reject forever?
And will He BPs 85:1, 5never be favorable again?
Has His APs 89:49lovingkindness ceased forever?
Has His 1Lit wordB2 Pet 3:9promise come to an end 2Lit from generation to generationforever?
Has God AIs 49:15forgotten to be gracious,
Or has He in anger 1Lit shut upwithdrawn His BPs 25:6; 40:11; 51:1compassion? Selah.
10 Then I said, “APs 31:22; 73:14It is my 1Or infirmity, the years of the right hand of the Most Highgrief,
That the BPs 44:2, 3right hand of the Most High has changed.”

11 I shall remember the APs 105:5; 143:5deeds of 1Heb Yᴀʜthe Loʀᴅ;
Surely I will APs 105:5; 143:5remember Your wonders of old.
12 I will APs 145:5meditate on all Your work
And muse on Your deeds.
13 Your way, O God, is APs 63:2; 73:17holy;
BEx 15:11; Ps 71:19; 86:8What god is great like our God?
14 You are the APs 72:18God who works wonders;
You have BPs 106:8made known Your strength among the peoples.
15 You have by Your 1Lit armpower AEx 6:6; Deut 9:29; Ps 74:2; 78:42redeemed Your people,
The sons of Jacob and BPs 80:1Joseph. Selah.

16 The AEx 14:21; Ps 114:3; Hab 3:8, 10waters saw You, O God;
The waters saw You, they were in anguish;
The deeps also trembled.
17 The AJudg 5:4clouds poured out water;
The skies BPs 68:33gave forth a sound;
Your CPs 18:14arrows 1Lit wentflashed here and there.
18 The APs 18:13; 104:7sound of Your thunder was in the whirlwind;
The BPs 97:4lightnings lit up the world;
The CJudg 5:4; Ps 18:7earth trembled and shook.
19 Your AIs 51:10; Hab 3:15way was in the sea
And Your paths in the mighty waters,
And Your footprints may not be known.
20 You AEx 13:21; 14:19; Ps 78:52; 80:1; Is 63:11-13led Your people like a flock
By the hand of BEx 6:26; Ps 105:26Moses and Aaron.
