God Will Battle Jerusalem’s Foes
Behold, a AIs 13:6, 9; Joel 2:1; Mal 4:1day is coming for the Loʀᴅ when BZech 14:14the spoil taken from you will be divided among you. For I will AZech 12:2, 3gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city will be captured, the BIs 13:16houses plundered, the women ravished and half of the city exiled, but the rest of the people will not be cut off from the city. Then the Loʀᴅ will go forth and AZech 9:14, 15fight against those nations, as 1Lit His day of fightingwhen He fights on a day of battle. In that day His feet will AEzek 11:23stand on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be BIs 64:1, 2; Ezek 47:1-10; Mic 1:3, 4; Hab 3:6; Zech 4:7; 14:8split in its middle from east to west by a very large valley, so that half of the mountain will move toward the north and the other half toward the south. You will flee by the valley of My mountains, for the valley of the mountains will reach to Azel; yes, you will flee just as you fled before the AIs 29:6; Amos 1:1earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. BPs 96:13; Is 66:15, 16; Matt 16:27; 25:31Then the Loʀᴅ, my God, will come, and all the holy ones with 1So the versions; Heb YouHim!
In that day there will be AIs 13:10; Jer 4:23; Ezek 32:7, 8; Joel 2:30, 31; Acts 2:16, 19no light; the 1Lit glorious ones will congealluminaries will dwindle. For it will be AJer 30:7; Amos 8:9a unique day which is BIs 45:21; Acts 15:18known to the Loʀᴅ, neither day nor night, but it will come about that at CIs 58:10; Rev 22:5evening time there will be light.
And in that day AEzek 47:1-12; Joel 3:18; John 7:38; Rev 22:1, 2living waters will flow out of Jerusalem, half of them toward the eastern sea and the other half toward the western sea; it will be in summer as well as in winter.
God Will Be King over All
And the Loʀᴅ will be AIs 2:2-4; 45:23; Zech 9:9; 14:16, 17king over all the earth; in that day the Loʀᴅ will be the only BDeut 6:4; Is 45:21-24one, and His name the only one.
10 All the land will be changed into a plain from A1 Kin 15:22Geba to BJosh 15:32; Judg 20:45, 47Rimmon south of Jerusalem; but 1Lit itJerusalem will CIs 2:2; Amos 9:11rise and DJer 30:18; Zech 12:6remain on its site from EJer 37:13; 38:7Benjamin’s Gate as far as the place of the First Gate to the F2 Kin 14:13Corner Gate, and from the GJer 31:38Tower of Hananel to the king’s wine presses. 11 1Lit TheyPeople will live in it, and there will AZech 8:13; Rev 22:3no longer be a curse, for Jerusalem will BJer 23:5, 6; Ezek 34:25-28dwell in security.
12 Now this will be the plague with which the Loʀᴅ will strike all the peoples who have gone to war against Jerusalem; their flesh will ALev 26:16; Deut 28:21, 22rot while they stand on their feet, and their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongue will rot in their mouth. 13 It will come about in that day that a great panic from the Loʀᴅ will 1Lit be amongfall on them; and they will AZech 11:6seize one another’s hand, and the hand of one will 2Lit rise up againstbe lifted against the hand of another. 14 AZech 12:2, 5Judah also will fight at Jerusalem; and the BIs 23:18; Zech 14:1wealth of all the surrounding nations will be gathered, gold and silver and garments in great abundance. 15 So also like this AZech 14:12plague will be the plague on the horse, the mule, the camel, the donkey and all the cattle that will be in those camps.
16 Then it will come about that any who are left of all the nations that went against Jerusalem will AIs 60:6-9; 66:18-21, 23go up from year to year to worship the King, the Loʀᴅ of hosts, and to celebrate the BLev 23:34-44Feast of Booths. 17 And it will be that whichever of the families of the earth does not go up to Jerusalem to worship the AZech 14:9, 16King, the Loʀᴅ of hosts, there will be BJer 14:3-6; Amos 4:7no rain on them. 18 If the family of Egypt does not go up or enter, then no rain will fall on them; it will be the AZech 14:12, 15plague with which the Loʀᴅ smites the nations who do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Booths. 19 This will be the 1Lit sinpunishment of Egypt, and the 1Lit sinpunishment of all the nations who do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Booths.
20 In that day there will be inscribed on the bells of the horses, “AEx 28:36-38HOLY TO THE LORD.” And the BEzek 46:20cooking pots in the Loʀᴅ’s house will be like the bowls before the altar. 21 Every cooking pot in Jerusalem and in Judah will be ANeh 8:10; Rom 14:6, 7; 1 Cor 10:31holy to the Loʀᴅ of hosts; and all who sacrifice will come and take of them and boil in them. And there will no longer be a 1Or merchantBZeph 1:11Canaanite in the house of the Loʀᴅ of hosts in that day.
