The Nations Will Be Judged

When I BJer 16:15restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem,
2 I will AIs 66:18; Mic 4:12; Zech 14:2gather all the nations
And bring them down to the BJoel 3:12, 14valley of 1I.e. YHWH judgesJehoshaphat.
Then I will CIs 66:16; Jer 25:31; Ezek 38:22enter into judgment with them there
On behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel,
Whom they have DJer 50:17; Ezek 34:6scattered among the nations;
And they have EEzek 35:10; 36:1-5divided up My land.

4  “Moreover, what are you to Me, O AIs 23:1-18; Amos 1:9, 10; Zech 9:2-4; Matt 11:21, 22; Luke 10:13, 14Tyre, Sidon and all the regions of BIs 14:29-31; Jer 47:1-7; Ezek 25:15-17; Amos 1:6-8; Zech 9:5-7Philistia? Are you rendering Me a recompense? 9 AJer 51:27Proclaim this among the nations:

Let all the soldiers draw near, let them come up!

And your pruning hooks into spears;
BZech 12:8Let the weak say, “I am a mighty man.”
11 1Or Lend aidAEzek 38:15, 16Hasten and come, all you surrounding nations,
And gather yourselves there.
Bring down, O Loʀᴅ, Your BIs 13:3mighty ones.
12 Let the nations be aroused
And come up to the AJoel 3:2, 14valley of 1I.e. YHWH judgesJehoshaphat,
For there I will sit to BPs 7:6; 96:13; 98:9; Is 2:4; 3:13judge
All the surrounding nations.

Come, CRev 14:19, 20; 19:15tread, for the DIs 63:3; Lam 1:15wine press is full;
The vats overflow, for their EGen 18:20wickedness is great.

15 The AJoel 2:10, 31sun and moon grow dark
And the stars lose their brightness.
16 The Loʀᴅ AHos 11:10; Amos 1:2roars from Zion
And BJoel 2:11utters His voice from Jerusalem,
And the CEzek 38:19; Joel 2:10; Hag 2:6heavens and the earth tremble.
But the Loʀᴅ is a DPs 61:3; Is 33:16; Jer 17:17refuge for His people
And a EJer 16:19; Nah 1:7stronghold to the sons of Israel.
17 Then you will AJoel 2:27know that I am the Loʀᴅ your God,
Dwelling in Zion, My BIs 11:9; 56:7; Ezek 20:40holy mountain.
So Jerusalem will be CIs 4:3; Obad 17holy,
And DIs 52:1; Nah 1:15strangers will pass through it no more.
 
Judah Will Be Blessed
18 And in that day
The AAmos 9:13mountains will drip with 1Lit freshly pressed out grape juicesweet wine,
And the hills will BEx 3:8flow with milk,
And all the CIs 30:25; 35:6brooks of Judah will flow with water;
And a DEzek 47:1-12spring will go out from the house of the Loʀᴅ
To water the valley of 2Or acaciasShittim.
19 Egypt will become a waste,
And Edom will become a desolate wilderness,
Because of the AObad 10violence 1Lit of the sonsdone to the sons of Judah,
In whose land they have shed innocent blood.
20 But Judah will be AEzek 37:25; Amos 9:15inhabited forever
And Jerusalem for all generations.
21 And I will AIs 4:4avenge their blood which I have not avenged,
For the Loʀᴅ dwells in Zion.
