Judgment on Judah and Israel
Thus says the Loʀᴅ,
“For three transgressions of AIs 15:1-16:14; 25:10-12; Jer 48:1-47; Ezek 25:8-11; Zeph 2:8, 9Moab and for four
I will not 1Lit cause it to turn back, and so throughout the chrevoke its punishment,
Because he B2 Kin 3:26, 27burned the bones of the king of Edom to lime.
“So I will send fire upon Moab
And it will consume the citadels of AJer 48:24, 41Kerioth;
And Moab will die amid BJer 48:45tumult,
With 1Or shoutswar cries and the sound of a trumpet.
“I will also cut off the 1Or executive officerAPs 2:10; 141:6; Amos 5:7, 12; 6:12judge from her midst

Thus says the Loʀᴅ,
“For three transgressions of A2 Kin 17:19; Hos 12:2; Amos 3:2Judah and for four
I will not revoke its punishment,
Because they BJudg 2:17-20; 2 Kin 22:11-17; Jer 6:19; 8:9rejected the law of the Loʀᴅ
And have not kept His statutes;
Their 1Or false godsCIs 9:15, 16; 28:15; Jer 16:19; Hab 2:18lies also have led them astray,
Those after which their DJer 9:14; 16:11, 12; Ezek 20:18, 24, 30fathers walked.
“So I will AJer 17:27; 21:10; Hos 8:14send fire upon Judah
And it will consume the citadels of Jerusalem.”

Thus says the Loʀᴅ,
“For three transgressions of A2 Kin 18:11, 12Israel and for four
I will not revoke its punishment,
Because they BJoel 3:3; Amos 5:11, 12; 8:6sell the righteous for money
And the needy for a pair of sandals.

11 “Then I ADeut 18:18; Jer 7:25raised up some of your sons to be prophets
And some of your young men to be BNum 6:2, 3; Judg 13:5Nazirites.
Is this not so, O sons of Israel?” declares the Loʀᴅ.
12 “But you made the Nazirites drink wine,
And you commanded the prophets saying, ‘You AIs 30:10; Jer 11:21; Amos 7:13, 16; Mic 2:6shall not prophesy!’
