14 Then I looked, and behold, a AMatt 17:5white cloud, and sitting on the cloud was one BDan 7:13; Rev 1:13like 1Or the Son of Mana son of man, having a golden CPs 21:3; Rev 6:2crown on His head and a sharp sickle in His hand. 15 And another angel ARev 11:19; 14:17; 15:6; 16:17came out of the 1Or sanctuarytemple, crying out with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, “2Lit Send forthBJoel 3:13; Mark 4:29; Rev 14:18Put in your sickle and reap, for the hour to reap has come, because the CJer 51:33; Matt 13:39-41harvest of the earth 3Lit has become dryis ripe.” 16 Then He who sat on the cloud 1Lit castswung His sickle over the earth, and the earth was reaped.

17 And another angel ARev 11:19; 14:15; 15:6; 16:17came out of the 1Or sanctuarytemple which is in heaven, and he also had a sharp sickle. 18 Then another angel, ARev 16:8the one who has power over fire, came out from BRev 6:9; 8:3the altar; and he called with a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, “1Lit Send forthCJoel 3:13; Mark 4:29; Rev 14:15Put in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters 2Lit offrom the vine of the earth, DJoel 3:13because her grapes are ripe.” 19 So the angel 1Lit castswung his sickle to the earth and gathered the clusters from the vine of the earth, and threw them into AIs 63:2f; Rev 19:15the great wine press of the wrath of God. 20 And AIs 63:3; Lam 1:15; Rev 19:15the wine press was trodden BHeb 13:12; Rev 11:8outside the city, and CGen 49:11; Deut 32:14blood came out from the wine press, up to the horses’ bridles, 1Lit fromfor a distance of 2Lit sixteen hundred stadia; a stadion was approx 600 fttwo hundred miles.
