Vision of the Valley of Dry Bones
The AEzek 1:3; 33:22; 40:1hand of the Loʀᴅ was upon me, and He BEzek 8:3; 11:24; 43:5; Acts 8:39brought me out 1Or inby the Spirit of the Loʀᴅ and set me down in the middle of the CJer 7:32-8:2valley; and it was full of bones. He caused me to pass among them round about, and behold, there were very many on the surface of the valley; and lo, they were very dry. He said to me, “Son of man, AEzek 26:19can these bones live?” And I answered, “O Lord 1Heb YHWH, usually rendered Loʀᴅ, and so throughout the chGoᴅ, BDeut 32:39; 1 Sam 2:6You know.” Again He said to me, “AEzek 37:9, 12Prophesy over these bones and say to them, ‘O dry bones, BJer 22:29; Ezek 36:1hear the word of the Loʀᴅ.’  “Thus says the Lord Goᴅ to these bones, ‘Behold, I will cause 1Or spirit, and so throughout the chAGen 2:7; Ps 104:29, 30; Ezek 37:9, 10, 14breath to enter you that you may come to life.  ‘I will put sinews on you, make flesh grow back on you, cover you with skin and put breath in you that you may come alive; and you will AIs 49:23; Ezek 35:9; 38:23; 39:6; Joel 2:27; 3:17know that I am the Loʀᴅ.’ ”
So I prophesied AJer 13:5-7as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a 1Lit voice; or thundernoise, and behold, a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to its bone. And I looked, and behold, sinews were on them, and flesh grew and skin covered them; but there was no breath in them. Then He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord Goᴅ, “Come from the four winds, O breath, and APs 104:30breathe on these slain, that they BHos 13:14come to life.” ’ ” 10 So I prophesied as He commanded me, and the ARev 11:11breath came into them, and they came to life and stood on their feet, an BJer 30:19; 33:22exceedingly great army.

Reunion of Judah and Israel
