1 “And when you ANum 34:13; Josh 13:7; 14:3; Ezek 47:21; 48:29divide by lot the land for inheritance, you shall offer 1Or a contributionan BEzek 48:8, 9allotment to the Loʀᴅ, a CZech 14:20, 21holy portion of the land; the length shall be the length of 25,000 DEzek 42:16; 45:2cubits, and the width shall be 2Or with Gr 10,00020,000. It shall be holy within all its boundary round about. 2  “Out of this there shall be for the holy place a square round about AEzek 42:20five hundred by five hundred cubits, and fifty cubits for its 1Or pasture landBEzek 27:28open space round about. 3  “From this 1Lit measurearea you shall measure a length of 25,000 cubits and a width of 10,000 cubits; and in it shall be the sanctuary, the most holy place. 4  “It shall be the holy portion of the land; it shall be for the AEzek 48:10, 11priests, the ministers of the sanctuary, who BNum 16:5; Ezek 40:45; 43:19come near to minister to the Loʀᴅ, and it shall be a place for their houses and a holy place for the sanctuary. 5  “An area AEzek 48:1325,000 cubits in length and 10,000 in width shall be for the Levites, the ministers of the house, and for their possession 1So with Gr; M.T. twenty chamberscities to dwell in.

6 “You shall give the AEzek 48:15-18, 30-35city possession of an area 5,000 cubits wide and 25,000 cubits long, alongside the 1Or contributionallotment of the holy portion; it shall be for the whole house of Israel.

7 “The AEzek 34:24; 37:24; 46:16-18; 48:21prince shall have land on either side of the holy 1Or contributionallotment and the 2Lit possessionproperty of the city, adjacent to the holy 1Or contributionallotment and the 2Lit possessionproperty of the city, on the west side toward the west and on the east side toward the east, and in length comparable to one of the portions, from the west border to the east border. 8  “This shall be his land for a possession in Israel; so My princes shall no longer AIs 11:3-5; Jer 23:5; Ezek 19:7; 22:27; 46:18oppress My people, but they shall give the rest of the land to the house of Israel BJosh 11:23according to their tribes.”

9 ‘Thus says the Lord 1Heb YHWH, usually rendered Loʀᴅ, and so throughout the chGoᴅ, “AEzek 44:6Enough, you princes of Israel; put away BJer 6:7; Ezek 7:11, 23; 8:17violence and destruction, and CJer 22:3; Zech 8:16practice justice and righteousness. Stop your DNeh 5:1-5expropriations from My people,” declares the Lord Goᴅ.

10 “You shall have ALev 19:36; Deut 25:15; Prov 16:11; Amos 8:4-6; Mic 6:10, 11just balances, a just BIs 5:10ephah and a just BIs 5:10bath. 11  “The ephah and the bath shall be 1Lit onethe same quantity, so that the bath will contain a tenth of a AIs 5:10homer and the ephah a tenth of a homer; 2Lit its measuretheir standard shall be according to the homer. 12  “The AEx 30:13; Lev 27:25; Num 3:47shekel shall be twenty AEx 30:13; Lev 27:25; Num 3:47gerahs; twenty shekels, twenty-five shekels, and fifteen shekels shall be your 1Or minamaneh.

13 “This is the offering that you shall offer: a sixth of an ephah from a homer of wheat; a sixth of an ephah from a homer of barley; 14 and the prescribed portion of oil (namely, the bath of oil), a tenth of a bath from each kor (which is ten baths or a homer, for ten baths are a homer); 15 and one sheep from each flock of two hundred from the watering places of Israel—for a AEzek 45:17grain offering, for a burnt offering and for peace offerings, to BLev 1:4; 6:30make atonement for them,” declares the Lord Goᴅ. 16 “AEx 30:14, 15All the people of the land shall 1Lit begive to this offering for the BIs 16:1prince in Israel. 17  “It shall be the AEzek 46:4-12prince’s part to provide the B1 Kin 8:64; 1 Chr 16:2; 2 Chr 31:3burnt offerings, the grain offerings and the drink offerings, at the CLev 23:1-44; Num 28:1-29:39feasts, on the DIs 66:23new moons and on the sabbaths, at all the appointed feasts of the house of Israel; he shall provide the sin offering, the grain offering, the burnt offering and the E1 Kin 8:63; Ezek 43:27peace offerings, to make atonement for the house of Israel.”

18 ‘Thus says the Lord Goᴅ, “In the AEx 12:2first month, on the first of the month, you shall take a young bull BLev 22:20; Heb 9:14without blemish and CLev 16:16, 33; Ezek 43:22, 26cleanse the sanctuary. 19  “The priest shall take some of the blood from the sin offering and put it on the door posts of the house, on the ALev 16:18-20; Ezek 43:20four corners of the BEzek 43:14, 17, 20ledge of the altar and on the posts of the gate of the inner court. 20  “Thus you shall do on the seventh day of the month for everyone who goes ALev 4:27; Ps 19:12astray or is 1Lit simplenaive; so you shall make BLev 16:20; Ezek 45:15, 18atonement for the house.

21 “In the ANum 28:16ffirst month, on the fourteenth day of the month, you shall have the BEx 12:1-24; Lev 23:5-8Passover, a feast of seven days; unleavened bread shall be eaten. 22  “On that day the prince shall provide for himself and all the people of the land a ALev 4:14bull for a sin offering. 23  “During the ALev 23:8seven days of the feast he shall provide as a BNum 28:16-25burnt offering to the Loʀᴅ CNum 23:1, 2; Job 42:8seven bulls and seven rams without blemish on every day of the seven days, and a male goat daily for a sin offering. 24  “He shall provide as a ANum 28:12-15; Ezek 46:5-7grain offering an ephah 1Lit forwith a bull, an ephah 1Lit forwith a ram and a hin of oil 1Lit forwith an ephah. 25  “In the ALev 23:33-43; Num 29:12-38; 2 Chr 5:3; 7:8, 10seventh month, on the fifteenth day of the month, at the feast, he shall provide like this, seven days 1Lit according tofor the sin offering, the burnt offering, the grain offering and the oil.”
